Frequently asked questions
How does workspace pricing work?
Each plan price includes its seeded workspace allowance: 1 on Basic, 2 on Pro, and 5 on Business. Each workspace is an isolated organizational unit with its own email, template, project, team, and API-key limits. Upgrade the plan when you need a larger included allowance.
What is BYO provider (BYOSMTP) and how do I save about 30%?
Bring Your Own SMTP lets you send through your own provider - SendGrid, Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun, or any SMTP server. Since we do not carry the delivery, plans cost about 30% less. You keep the template, workflow, reporting, and team features of your selected tier; CommuniQueue-managed delivery and managed dedicated IPs are excluded.
Do I keep open and click tracking with bring-your-own sending?
No. Managed tracking is part of CommuniQueue's sending infrastructure. On BYO plans we still record delivery, bounce, and complaint events from your provider's webhooks, and if you enable tracking inside your own provider account those engagement events show up in your reports too - but we can't provide it for you.
What happens when I exceed my plan limits?
By default, sends stop at the included limit. You can optionally enable overages up to a per-workspace spending cap; usage is then billed in whole blocks of 1,000 - $3.00/1K on Basic, $1.50/1K on Pro, $0.90/1K on Business. You can change the cap or upgrade at any time.
What's included in the 7-day free trial?
Your trial uses the features and limits of the tier you select. You are not charged until the 7-day trial ends.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at your next billing boundary so current access is not removed mid-period.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Cancel at any time; eligible accounts normally stay active until the current billing period ends, with no further renewals after cancellation takes effect. Outstanding usage, overage, or invoice balances remain payable.
What happens to old template versions?
Published versions count toward your plan limit. Drafts do not count toward the version limit. When you publish at a finite limit, the oldest unlocked published version is removed. Lock any version you must retain. If every retained version is locked, publishing is blocked until you unlock one or upgrade.
What add-ons are available?
Managed dedicated IP addresses are $40/month or $480/year per workspace on Pro and for Business extras; Business managed-email plans include one per active workspace. They are unavailable with BYO provider. Additional team members are $5/month or $60/year each per workspace. Data retention is included with your plan - 14 days on Basic, 90 on Pro, 365 on Business.
What's the difference between webhook delivery and event webhooks?
Outbound webhook delivery is a messaging channel - you send messages to your own endpoints the same way you send emails. Event-webhook registration allocations are listed separately in the plan catalog, but registration management is not yet available.
Do you offer custom plans for enterprises?
Yes. Enterprise starts at $299/month and supports 100,000 to 5 million email deliveries per workspace or an unlimited option, managed dedicated IPs, retention choices, and monthly or annual billing. The Enterprise Builder configures your plan and gives an instant quote.
